I have bet on countless of hands of twenty-one. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I play basic strategy blackjack. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very fast. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a few years ago with $750 after 20 mins using this tactic! And a few days ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
